The vigilance court in Muvattupuzha on Saturday ordered for a quick verification probe in Malayalam superstar Mohanlal’s house for keeping Ivory in possession in his house. The court has ordered after a complaint from activist A.A. Paulose. The court has asked the vigilance department to probe and submit the report by Nov 28.
This case first surfaced in 2011 following an income tax raid and it was in the light that he possessed elephant tusks. IT officials seized the ivory in the year December. Then forest officials registered a case against the actor in 2012.
However, the forest ministry led by the Thiruvanchoor led by UDF government let the actor keep his possession in his house since there was a permission from the wildlife authorities. The tusks were returned to the actor.
The latest complaint from Paulose is that according to the wildlife act the actor cannot keep the possession. The petitioner said that the forest officials erred in their duties according to the law.
