An adaptation of the great poet Shakespeare’s classic Macbeth. A historic drama is named as Veeram. This movie will be directed by national award winning filmmaker Jayaraj. Kunal Kapoor the Bollywood actor is playing the role of Chanthu Chekavar in the movie. The journey of the real life character will be shown in this movie. This movie will be produced by Chandramohan Pillai and Pradeep Rajan of Chandrakala Arts. This movie will be made as a trilingual movie. It would be Malayalam, Hindi, and English. The makers are planning to release in Tamil and Telugu. The estimated budget of this movie would be 35 crores.

Action choreographer Allan Poppleton, who has worked on films such as Lord of the Rings and Avatar is choreographing the action sequences in this movie. Oscar and Emmy award-winning make-up artist Trefor Proud has also been tied in for Veeram. Award winning popular music director Jeff Rona is handling music. A primary shot will be shot in iconic Ellora caves in Aurangabad.
